LVGL v7.6.0 is now available with performance optimizations and important bug fixes. This release focuses on smarter rendering decisions and better internationalization support.
New Features#
Optimized State Change Rendering The rendering engine now intelligently checks whether any style property has actually changed during a state transition before triggering a redraw. This optimization reduces unnecessary rendering operations, improving performance especially in UIs with frequent state changes like button interactions or animations.
Bug Fixes#
Non-ASCII Text in Dropdown Lists Fixed an issue where selecting options containing non-ASCII characters (like accented letters, Chinese, Cyrillic, or Arabic text) in dropdown lists would fail. Dropdown widgets now properly handle international text across all supported character sets.
Large Font Format Support
Resolved a bug in the font loader that prevented LV_FONT_FMT_TXT_LARGE from working correctly. This format is essential for applications using extensive Unicode ranges or very large font files.
